If you want to color your hair, the first thing to set is of course the desired shade. The colors are classified on a scale of precise tones, used by professionals, 10 major distinguishing shades from light (very light blonde) to the darkest (black). To these shades add reflections: hot (gold, copper, mahogany and red) or cold (butternut and iridescent). Therefore coloring products often are numbered.

For example, Product Majirel 6.1: 6 shows the pitch on a scale of 1 to 10, 1 the main reflection. Majirel 6.1 therefore corresponds to a dark ash blond.

Permanent or temporary hair color? Choose from temporary color (fades in 6-8 shampoos), semi-permanent color (lasts 6 to 8 weeks) or permanent staining. 2 not containing raw ammonia merely coloring hair surface. The permanent color is only to allow a wide coverage of white hair and darken or lighten. So if you want to lighten your natural color, choose a permanent color with ammonia, which acts as a bleach. Please note that the root produces a permanent color effect.

Gray coverage

If you have a high percentage of white hair and want a color to intense reflections (red, copper ...), it may give a too keen on the result and seeing white hair, which is why you need to mix 1 / 2 tube of your chosen color reflection + 1/2 tube of skin color. For example, if you want a 7.44 (intense coppery blond), mix with 7 7.44 (blond). The 7.44 will reflect and 7 allow good coverage of white hair. The reflection will be less intense but the white hair will be well covered.
